On the subject of Shades of Gray
For some reason I've been hearing a lot of people telling me lately that bisexuality doesn't exist.
Huh. Well, good thing they have all the answers. Otherwise I'd still be "confused".
Okay, fuck that shit. Let me make this perfectly clear to everyone:
it does not fall within your jurisdiction to tell someone else who they are attracted to.I've also been thinking a lot about my own journey through the weird and wild world of sexual orientation. I knew when I was a child that I was attracted to both males and females. I'm talking about the sexual fantasies that I was having as young as the age of four. Those feelings stayed with me. Some people don't understand their sexual orientation until they're in their 50's. Others
know as soon as they're popped out into the world. It's different for each person, and when you're speculating on someone else's sexuality, you don't get a say in the matter.
( examining this in a bit more depth... )And that's the way it is. Love doesn't have to be an either/or situation. If you're bisexual/pansexual/just sexual and you're oriented toward monogamy, then go right ahead and live that way. It's no skin off my back, and I'm not going to pass judgement on you for living the way you feel is right. But please don't pass judgement on me either if I want to have a boyfriend
and a girlfriend, or even several of each, as long as I am being open and honest with everyone and not lying to anyone. We live in a day and age wherein this is possible. So I won't tell you who to love if you don't tell me who to love.
End transmission.
